Jump off the rotating on the the vines above, and travel right until you reach the chest. Enter the secret cave at , 21 and sail left. Jump on the platform, use the Mouse Hat to pass the rhino, and continue left until you reach a house.

Talk to the grasshopper on the piping to turn it on, and water the nearby plant and push it left to reach some vines. Travel upwards to another house, enter it and take the seed upwards to the grasshopper on some different pipes to turn those on.

Water the plant and push it left again, and head further upwards. Turn right and jump across some crumbling blocks until you reach the house again. Talk to the grasshopper a final time to turn on the last pipes, and take some fire to light the lower torches. Bottle some water and bring it up to grow the plant on the rooftop, and use that to take fire and burn the uppermost rope. Burn the lower two as well to lower the bridge, and then cross it to a small house.

Enter and talk to the centipede to gain swirling winds above your head. Use them to superjump left, and move the platforms to the end. Cross the crumbling platforms with superjumps don't let go of down! In case you haven't yet, follow your map to , 21 and open the cave by pressing up. Travel all the way right, use your cannon to drop the barrel against the wall, and take it left, leaving it on moving platforms when necessary, to the green button.

Avoid it's attacks until it spawns a bomb, and toss it at it to make it raise a leg. Run underneath and climb to the minecart.

Jump on the cart to make it fire a cannonball while it's over the driller. Continuing from where you got Treasure 6, ride the minecart right, avoiding obstacles. When you get to the wall, hold right to glitch through it, or turn left to find a drill bot that can dig through it. Either way, get to the sewers. Continue Right to the end, and rotate the wheel a full turn counterclockwise.

Then jump to the left, wait a moment, jump to the left again and onto the wall. Jump the high left platform until it's slightly below the wall platform, and then jump to the new high left platform and back to the wall. Then jump straight across the top to the right. Grab some water to kill the fire enemies, and get to the exit.

Enter the door, and equip the Baseball Hat to prevent being detected. Enter the door, hit the red switch, leave, turn on the computer, and go down.

Enter the door, continue down, and turn on the green and yellow computers on the bottom floor. Return up to the yellow gate, turn on the blue computer, and return the the green gate to go down the elevator.

Drop down several times being careful not to die until you reach a gate. Grab some purple lightning in your bottle and shoot the grey gem on the wall to open it.

Grab some more, and shoot the next gem through the floor to skip the next bit. Drop down, head to the right until the tank starts shooting you, and grab some of it's laser to shoot the next gem through the floor. Miniboss time! Use your hook to stun them, and hit them again to knock them back. Hit them both twice into the lightning sides, and then go the the lower level. Stun them and run past to draw them the to left, and then knock them into the lightning over there.

Head right. Start making your way around this room clockwise. Go up the moving platforms, to the left first to grab lightning atop the gears, and hit the first gem on the right wall. Continue upwards, across the pistons, and fire lightning at the gem to the left. Further right, push the glowing block onto the gears, and into it's slot on the left. Grab some lightning and activate the gem above. Further down, duck on the second gear to avoid the spikes, and push the block onto the gears again and into it's slot on the right.

Grab some lightning to trigger the last gem, and cross the pistons back the the entrance. Take the elevator up to the boss. Activate the computer, move your yellow dot to pick up all the green ones, while avoiding the red. Attempt to leave through the door on the right. Use the green lasers to get to the available computer, and play it's minigame. Afterwards, hit the glowing pink side of the ball to stun it until the parrot can drop a gear on it.

Repeat each part three times. Buy some Shark Repellent in the Saloon's basement on Tenerife. Dive where the sharks are, at about Enter the Basement. Head left, avoiding spikes. Drop down, dig, avoiding metal blades. Head right, dig, watching out for red spaces. Head right on the moving platforms, use the throwing hook to hit the yellow switch, continue right.

Drop down, avoiding metal blades. Turn left, use the top hat and throwing hook to defeat beetles. Continue left, use the bottle to light all four torches. Climb down, avoiding spikes. Head right, roll barrel across the spikes, down to purple button. Continue left, using wind to superjump, and fire to burn vines for more wind.

Drop down, head right avoiding fire and metal blades. Take the elevator to the bottom. Head left. Read the sign, watch the cutscene, examine the plate, open the chest. Final Boss! Avoid his attacks until Wakanda shows up. Grab her magic with the bottle and shoot it at him.

Enter the portal. Fire the cannon at the red switch. Wait for the wind to blow the platform up, and jump the left. For sale for coins. Drop down to the yellow button you left a rock on earlier. Grab some fire from the nearby torch, and burn your way into the hat shop. Enter the cave, and dig down and to the right. Enter the sewers, travel all the way left, and try to leave. Defeat the boss. Draw the boss's breath to fully rotate all three of the pipe segments with the windmills.

Then lead it into the electrified crystal. After lowering the bridge, enter the tower next to the castle. Grab a bubble in the bottle, climb up, stand on the red button, and then float to the top. Unlock the chest. Bring some mushroom smoke to Psaul, in the far left part of the cave.

Run through the terrifying sequence, you'll get it at the end. In the upper part of the caves, push a block into the upper windstream, and use it to get wind to the windmill and open the gate.

Travel to the left end of the area, it's in a chest. On sale for coins in the Holocade. Allows you to play Breakrys. If you get more than points, you get coins. Take some water from the plant shop to the plant in the dark area. Grab some orange spores from the mushroom, and take them up to the owl. He'll give you medicine, take it to the doctor, get some more, and take it to the mouse on the first floor. Then head to the animal village, and talk to the owl at the top.

Crawl down from the area with the elevator, it's above the door you entered from. Somora - Near the last dimensional fragment, in the upper right side of the room is a strange platform. Stand on it and don't press anything for about a minute until it appears. Cologel - Sitting atop the structure with a door on it, to the east side of the island. Danausel - In the factory underneath the island, while on the conveyor belts at the beginning, enter a hidden area in the left wall, where robots are being built. Danausel - When you enter the second area of the factory, turn right and walk underneath the pistons. I found the compass, and the guy from the hat shop told me he had a map to some island where you could buy sail, but i can't figure out where to find this map.

The parrot keeps telling me i still need to talk to somebody else in the big tree. Also, i haven't figured out how to dig into sand yet. Not sure if that should be possible at this point yet. It's right behind the guy that tells you he has the map.

Go to the door just below the spider's shop where you got the compass , then hop up to the hidden door just above the main door. Walk through the passage and open the chest. The map to the sail was a bit too well hidden.

Some players might have trouble finding it. Otherwise, I've just obtained the sail ; I'm stopping for tonight. I haven't seen a lot of it, and the whole explorating kind of 2D Wind Waker, btw , metroidvania thingy feels great. I love that kind of game, and the comparison you made with Cave Story is justified.

I rage-quited in the part at Somora city were the parrot has to carry the boulder. After a little experimentation, the same problem occurs regardless of my browser. Ah well. This is a game that has me both enraged and intrigued. I love where the storyline is going, and I want to learn more. UGH the controls! The programmer has set the "Up" key for menus to be the same as the "Interaction" key and set the "Jump" key to be something else. This means I'm forever pressing UP to jump instead of W my keybind for jump.

Are we able to put two actions on one key or does this cause game-breaking problems? That aside, I often find I'm a split second too late in jumping, or I think I've missed a spike and I actually hit it, or the character skids just over the edge of a cliff. It's enough to make me extremely frustrated with the game. Re-doing the entire section of the game again multiple times is NOT fun despite some games' insistence that it should be , and I found I'm doing some sections ten or fifteen times before I get through them and this is just on the getting-the-sail bit.

Question: Do we get to go back and deal with all the "problems" we see such as the earthquakes and sick bugs or are we, at this stage, just "passing through"?

I found myself wanting to help but not finding any way of doing so. Do I have to go in the museum or what? Download Treasure Adventure Game Beta 0. Also, a note from the developer's blog: "You can move your save-files from previous builds into the new one if you don't want to start a new game.

Jim Gamma: Using a gamepad helps enormously. If you've got one, grab JoyToKey or Xpadder and customize everything to your liking. Also, yes, you do get to come back and help with some things later on. Bob Bobson: Sounds like Game Front's problem! Here's the beta 0. That should work! Okay, this is ridiculous. I really want to play this, but I can't even get through the intro sequence! I keep pressing z, and eventually, it stops working and I get stuck.

This happens in Beta 0. Am I the only one stuck here? CheeseDreamer: Does it completely freeze up before you can even play? What you want to do is ignore the numbers and just follow the arrow. I followed the compass to where it said the sail would be and there was nothing there.

I was not at the statue, I followed the arrow, but still nothing. Any hints? I'm lost I got the sail, compass, lockpicks and a few more maps through exploring I think all the islands but I don't know where to go from here. I feel like I should have to learn a new skill in order to move on but I'm not sure yet. Anyone else find the next step? Make sure you've got the right map selected, then follow the arrow left, across the seas to another island.

Your coordinates will match the ones listed on the map when you're there. The parrot will start talking when you've arrived, you can't miss it. Llys: I'm not exactly sure where you are. You've already sailed across the rough water and are in the desert, right? I found the opening sequence troubling for someone with epilepsy. The lightening flashes were getting to me, and I had to choose between rushing through the dialogue, closing the game, or taking frequent breaks.

I chose to take breaks and I was safe, but I wish there was a warning about this kind of thing. And then when I thought I was going to be free from the flashes after entering the temple, the game froze.

For everyone having game-freezing issues: a new build was just released, with the final build coming soon. Also, too hard! Rage quit after going to the store the first time. A difficulty option is a must IMO. This game is pure genius, total adventure. Those who quit it because of frustration are looking for other type of games, go play something easier.. I'm stuck trying to get to x y I can get to about ish, but then I get stuck at the saloon. The mushroom isn't bouncy and if I go into the passage way under the saloon I can't make the jump into the worm tunnel.

I got the treasure map to the first artifact, the one that's apparently in the pyramids. But I can't get there because a platform is too high for me.

I can't dig through the sand so I can't place the big boulder either. What am I supposed to do? I have been following the arrows to treasure but the areas are either underground or on a high area I can not reach. Right now I have the first treasure, the shovel, hook and cannon. I have beaten the sewer monster, the pink monster far east and the pyramid monster. I'm just sailing all over now trying to find the next step.

I can't get to the coordinates of map 3 because I can't make the jump at the iceworld. Any hints as to what I have missed? Also, I know how to help the sick mice i think but I can't get a bottle to water the plant and get the mushroom Following the cries for help, I'm at the big pyramid where the first artifact map points to.

I can't figure out how to get the elevator working, as I don't see how it's possible to get the three boulders down there since there are holes at every path. Furthermore one boulder is too high up for me to jump up there. And finally, I got the throwing hook before but I died and now I can't find it again. I'm at the first artifact boss the one made of blocks in the big pyramid and I have no idea on how to beat it. Any help? Thank you. You must dodge a sequence of three attacks from the boss, at which point one hand will flip upside down and his jaw will lower.

Quickly run across his jaw before it shuts and jump onto his hand. Jump from his hand to the top of his head and attack one of his eyes. Each eye takes two hits to be destroyed, but you are kicked off of him after every attack you make on his eyes.

The owl says to give the medicine to sick people, but I don't seem to have any medicine. I tried using the bottle to pick up his green chemistry set stuff and that did nothing, talking to the sick people did nothing, carrying the mushroom spores to the sick people did nothing I don't understaaaand.

Are you using the action key to end the conversation? If you use the attack button, you might immediately drop the medicine as soon as he gives it to you.

As it turns out, the elevator is activated when you stand on it, and not by pushing the big yellow button which is for something different. And the problem with getting the boulder that's up too high can be solved if you take the elevator to the top. Really cute game, liking it a lot! Only gripe is those angled mushroom jump springs are so infuriating! They throw you everywhere but where you want to go, not fun at all. Please fix them!

Stuck trying to figure out what to do next. In the same situation as Pat and bacon, but found map 2 and have the throwing hook now. It sent me to the giant tree, but I have nothing to collect the mushroom spores in and can't get any higher or find what to do after talking to the owl.

I am thinking I need to find a jar, but have no idea where to find it. Been wandering for hours, can anyone set me on the right track? I have the compass and I'm at the cave entrance, and I can't get in.

Parrot tells me that I can use UP to interact, but I can't see anything to interact with! Also, why does it take so long for you to die?! I just want it to be over with quickly so I can get back to repeating half the game because of the lack of save points, and I'm just sitting there for 5 minutes listening to creepy death music. Have map 3, can't find map 2 or hook people are mentioning. Please hint - what did I miss? OMG I feel so dumb!!! OK I figures out the next step.

Go all the way East to the island with the haunted house on it. There's a huge rock blocking the way to the right past a monster BUT you can push it out of the way!!!!

This will take you further up to the witch's house and in turn get you another map!!! On your home Island there is a door that needs a pick near the East shore that has a switch in it. There is also an island with just sand and a locked door at the bottom. And there is a boss battle at the bottom of the fist tiny dungeon on your home Island with a worm thing, and a mini battle at the top of the giant tree.

These all lead to items. I also still really need help finding where to go after you solve the toxic waste problem.

I can't get onto the Western Ice Island, or hit the switch on the island with the dripping lava pipes. I have the throwing hook and got the second treasure. I need to find the. One map is pointing under the Globocorp but I can't get to it and the other map is pointing to the entrance of the animal city where there are all the waterfalls, i've searched the whole city and even made it to the top of the waterfall but no treasure.

I also can't find the cannon but I have all the items apart from the cannon. Travel to the island east of Angel Oak, and fall into the first quicksand trap. You'll end in a cave below, the grappling hook is on the left.

I'm stuck in the tree. There's a room near the top with a red switch on the wall and a pool full of fish. I can't trigger the switch or find another way to progress. Climb to the top of it and talk to the old lady, she'll give a map to find the magic bottle. Get the magic bottle and come back to the old lady, grab the wind next to her house and get to the floating tomb up there. RafaDL- Many thanks! How do I get to the Island? I can't find it anywhere. You need to hit the switch with the throwing hook.

In order to hit it, hold down Up, then press Jump and the Attack button at the same time. That should align the hook with the switch. I am not happy!!!! Just so people know, you don't actually need to have the map in order to open up the secret doors. For example, I found the. This game has some serious bugs in it and I'm done playing it. I refuse to start over. Can someone please help me with the pyramid part with the elevator. I have no idea what I'm doing. Moerae You should notice that there seem to be paths marked out in the background.

The thin paths show where you need to push the smaller blocks and the big path is for the big block. If I remember correctly, you'll need to jump on the big block at one point to reach one of the smaller blocks. I'm having trouble at the pyramid. I'm still looking for the first treasure, but am stuck at the same place townhouse was I got the Mouse hat now and I thought that by wearing it I would be able to pass by the big pink snake that's blocking my path to the red lever for the draw bridge.

So how on Earth am I then supposed to get rid of him? It might serve as a useful stepping stone I'm stuck at the same place as kingluigi - first four treasures and I have the cannon.

I don't have a map for treasure five, which as RobWatts has pointed out, I don't need BUT I don't even know where to start looking I have the map for that but. I have the treasure from the pyramid and from angel oak island.

I cant go west because I cant make the jump on the ice island and I can't go east because I cant get past the lava island. What should I do? Lys: If I recall correcly, when I dug on Ebner island, a chest and a door appeared. Like you, I did this before I had the map.

The door was in the tree at ground level. Maybe try going to the tree and 'interacting' pressing up? If you have the cannon for the boat, you should be able to fight the red snake creature blocking the red lever. Select the map for the dive helmet. In the meantime we became friends — playing co-op Cup Head until the middle the night is a great way to find out who your true friends are.

And as luck would have it we added a few areas to the game that needed musical accompaniment. Since then Craig has worked on a number of games and is currently doing sound design for Subnautica: Below Zero. Getting to collaborate with Adam Phillips is one of the highlights of my life.

As it turns out, Adam is a huge fan of indie games! He was enthusiastic about helping with TAW and was extremely flexible with our tiny fledgling game studio. On a few occasions I got to interact with him and his audience while he live-streamed himself creating animations for TAW. It kind of blows my mind that he took my ideas and characters and turned them into a short cartoon.

I heard he might be working on a sequel…. Not everyone I met during the development of TAW became part of the team. Going to conventions and expos exposed me to many amazing fans, press-folk, event organizers and YouTubers. Here it is! My Treasure Adventure World pysanka made for robitgames. Pysanky eggs are made using a traditional Ukrainian technique using wax and ink. To celebrate our release, Brian created one for TAW and live-streamed part the process along with the final reveal.

He carefully packed and shipped the egg to me where it now resides in a display case with my most prized possessions. I look at it everyday I walk into my office and am reminded of all the amazing people I met and worked with during the development of Treasure Adventure World.

Video games come and go — they are literally a dime-a dozen sometimes — but the relationships we build with other people can last a lifetime and ultimately are more meaningful. One of the best side-effects of developing TAW was and continues to be getting to interact with talented, funny, game-loving folks.

So, to everyone who I met along the way while making Treasure Adventure World — Thank you for giving me a lifetime of great memories. When I think back on the long development, the highs and lows, the sleepless nights pondering a bug and the feeling of joy when weeks of work finally came together, I […]. To be honest, I actually prefer this game over Cave Story.

If you're looking for a pleasant surprise, I highly recommend this game. This game is one of my favorite games I played recently. I found it while searching for some interesting Indie-Games, thought "Hmm, maybe I This game is one of my favorite games I played recently. I found it while searching for some interesting Indie-Games, thought "Hmm, maybe I could try this out, does not look too bad. You play a little boy, who was on a treasure hunt with your father and his friend once.

Something went terribly wrong and as the game starts you are grown up with a hook as a surrogate hand. If I had to I would call this an Open-World adventure rpg action platformer This game is the perfect middle of almost everything.

Graphics are good for an indie game in retro style, but although quite simple. The puzzles and bosses are not easy, but never let you down with desperating "I will never get this. The games humor really takes my fancy, although it quite ruined the ending, but it rarely prevails over the story. The world is a relatively big open world made of some islands with a new clever travel system.

You can completely choose what you want to do next plus there are several white cloverleafs to collect to gain rewards. You also have to consider that this is a game made by a single hobby developer, who created this game being better than some of the "big releases" in the matter of story and gameplay.

I love this game. It's a wonderful world with a great gameplay. It's an example how an indie game could be awesome. Besides it's a game done I love this game.

Besides it's a game done only by 2 people and it's something worthy of merit. Do you really think you must pay to have a good time with a game? Nope, and there are many freeware games out there that confirm this. One of Do you really think you must pay to have a good time with a game?

One of these games is treasure adventure game. The plot revolves around a young boy who is left on the doorstep of an elderly couple. They raise him and when he is old enough he leaves to begin his own adventure to find wonders and treasures in a world that is basically an archipelago.

I wont say anything else story wise as it is a surprisingly interesting and deeper than it seems, with its own lore and legends. As mentioned the game world has the form of fragmented islands to whom you travel between in a sailing boat. Each island has its own climate with its respected visual representation and holds its own levels, small or big and you travel between them by boat in which you can also fight with a small cannon.
