Tmnt new fighting game

Dotemu and Tribute Games have teamed up with Nickelodeon to produce a new tribute to the golden age of beat 'em up arcade games and the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series. Announced Wednesday, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge aims to emulate the style of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time by letting players team up to control pixelated versions of the titular team as they fight their signature villains including the ninja of the Foot Clan, the mutants Bebop and Rocksteady, the alien Krang, and their nemesis Shredder.

The trailer, which features Faith No More's Mike Patton performing the show's theme song, shows off a bit of gameplay and some original animation including the Turtles' mentor Master Splinter and their reporter friend April O'Neil both also kicking some butt. That could be a hint that they'll also be playable characters.

The game will take players through the buroughs of New York, into the sewers, and even to Krang's home, Dimension X, as they try to stop Bebop and Rocksteady from gathering gadgets needed to power Shredder and Krang's new scheme.

The lovingly animated brawler made a brief appearance at today's Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase. Developer Dotemu confirmed the multiplatform release in a follow-up tweet. No specifics just yet, but it's nice to have some semblance of a timeline. Shredder's Revenge is a classic 2D brawler with all the charm you'd expect from the makers of Streets of Rage 4 and the upcoming Metal Slug Tactics.

Perhaps the quintessential TMNT game for many die-hard fans, Turtles in Time is one of the best beat' em up games of the s. The Turtles jump through time to fight Shredder and his army of henchman one clobbering at a time. The game was released on arcade systems and the SNES as a direct sequel to the previous side-scrolling classic. Although a remake was available on the Xbox and PlayStation 3 stores, it has since been delisted.

Fans looking for the original experience should look to find a copy on a cartridge. An often-overlooked entry in the Turtle's saga, this Sega Genesis exclusive was released in , shortly after Turtles in Time, from which it borrows many of its gameplay elements. After Shredder shrinks Manhattan using the power of the Hyperstone, the Turtles have to jump back into action to stop their foe and save their city. Although often called a clone of Turtles in Time , this game still manages to pack in a lot of fun side-scrolling combat into the story and build off the strengths of previous entries.

Only released on the Genesis, fans might have luck finding a physical copy online or at used game stores.

Originally released by Konami for the first Game Boy in 1 , this platformer action game is reminiscent of the company's own Castlevania series. With his double Katanas, Leo walks ahead of the team and watches over everyone. Do you care to join him? Raphael is the team's bad boy! How come? His pronounced New York accent, impulsivity, and taste for violence might make him quite intimidating at first sight. Even Leo picks a fight with him now and then!

However, his humor and loyalty are undeniable! If you get to know him a bit better, you will surely love him! Meet Donatello, the team genius! He is truly talented in many fields, such as science, inventing stuff, engineering, and tech. Cool, right? Donnie is a peacemaker. He prefers to use his brain rather than his Bo staff. Nevertheless, you shouldn't cross him! Want to see one of his inventions? Just play the Booyakasha Blitz game! Michelangelo is the typical teenager of the team.

Who cares about responsibilities when you can have fun? Mikey's relaxed attitude, free spirit, and jokes will make you fall in love instantly! However, his Nunchaku skills prove invaluable to the team!
